Favorez will always create links with the same name as the links in your IE favorites. Favorez will try to copy link icons if they are part of the selected skin. Most Favorez skins use icons but e.g. the Plain & Simple skin does not.
Changing names
To change the name of a link right click it in your IE favorites panel, then choose Rename.
Item ordering
IE has a peculiar way of remembering how your favorites items are ordered. Renaming any particular favorites item may well affect its position. Press F5 immediately after renaming any favorites item (while the IE favorites panel still has the focus) to discover the actual position that IE has in mind for your item. If you are not content with the resulting ordering of items then use drag and drop to relocate items to their desired position.
Maximum length of link names
The desired maximum length of link names may depend on the design and layout of your web pages. The maximum length can be adjusted separately for any Favorez skin via the Settings tab of the skin Properties dialog box.
Changing icons
Link icons can be adjusted in your IE favorites panel as well. Right click a link and choose Properties from the menu that pops up. In the link property dialog box choose Change Icon.... Then, in the Change Icon dialog box, choose Browse... and browse to any icon resource that you have on your hard disc.
Standard icons
More advanced users may also change any of the standard icons like the default icon for links and the icons for folders. Read more about this in the topic Skin Resource Files.
Favicons
Many well designed web sites are depicted with their own special icon in the IE favorites panel. If all of your favorites items are depicted with the same dull IE icon then you may be interested in the Favorez Repair Favicons function.
Note
All suggested settings and changes take effect only after you update your web page.
