Each option on the Settings tab is discussed below.
Title
The Title edit box holds the title of the web page created with the current skin. This title appears in the caption of your browser window.
Name of root
The name of the root of the tree of favorites items. This name appears somewhere at the top of a favorites web page.
Maximum length of link description
Use this slider to set the maximum length of the description/name of the links on your web page.
Link target
The link target is the name of the HTML frame where your links should appear. You can either type a name yourself or select any of the standard names from the drop down list.
Favorites folder
The favorites folder is the folder that Favorez should use for your web page. Use the button with the three dots to select an existing folder in the IE favorites panel. Or enter the name of a new folder that Favorez should create for you.
Sorting
There are three check boxes concerning the sorting order of your favorites items. Generally speaking the check box Sort all items should not be checked. Favorez will try to use the sorting or special ordering of the items in your IE favorites panel.
Checking sorting options in Favorez effects only the web page you create, not the original items in the IE favorites panel.
There is a limited number of valid combinations for the sorting check boxes. Checking one box may disable another box, protecting you from choosing an invalid setting.
No empty folders
Check the No empty folders box if you do not want empty folders in your web page. An empty folder is a folder with no links in it, it may still contain subfolders.
Include keywords
If this option is checked Favorez will generate a list of keywords, extracted from your favorites. The list of keywords is then inserted into your web page. Keywords in web pages are seen only by search engines (e.g. google.com) that crawl the web for information. Web pages with keywords get found more often via these search engines.
Note
Any particular skin may not support all options of the Settings tab. In such cases some options will be disabled.
